Saw filing and repair services

Post by PackStringSaw » March 5th, 2015, 4:27 am

Can anyone recommend a place to see a list of saw filing and repair services in the U.S.? A couple of us have saws that need work (sharpening, tooth replacement, handle replacement, etc.), and the one or two services we know of are either booked up for the rest of the Winter or are transitioning from Winter saw work to Summer season stuff. People routinely ask me where they might send their saws, and I tell them the two I know of in California and Oregon, but that's it. There may be a place on this site that lists those folks, and maybe I just didn't see it. Thanks in advance for you help.

I bought two saws from PATC Sawyer on this site. PATC knows how to fettle saws. I'd PM him!

Fettle: added to vocab as well. Perfect choice of term.

to be in fine fettle:
to be very healthy or working well. "She was in fine fettle when she came back from her trip to the States."
