1953 - 1955 Disston 1 Man

Post by JohnStirman62 » March 23rd, 2021, 9:52 am

So I came across this crosscut on Ebay... from the close up pic of the Medallion it seems to be from 1953 - 55. Can someone tell me if the Disston saws from that time period were still crescent or taper ground? It seems to be in great shape. Thoughts?

I don't think that medallion does go to that saw. It was put on later. Four perforated teeth on the heel suggests a VCSC. Flip it to the right side and check for a boxed C and if in the transition with Jemco, a large J.

Yep, looking at the pics a bit more... thinking I am going to take a pass on this one. It is on Ebay now if anyone else is interested though. Thanks again!
