Hoffman 6' western bucking.

Post by MNSHIELD » April 19th, 2021, 11:34 am

I picked up this saw this week. It originally came out of Idaho 25 years ago. It cleaned up well and has 1 9/16" teeth. Taper ground about 4 gauges The rakers are longer then the teeth and there is no consistency in its filing. I was Hopeing someone had some more insight in it.

HOFFMAN is in the middle of the etch
Under the circle is "Los Angeles California "

Manufactured by
Atkins and comp. (I think. 95% on atkins)

Thanks folks.

I agree with the Atkins call. The shape of the cutter teeth is the same as others I've seen.

Thanks Sumnergeo. It seems to be a good saw. Looking forward to getting it back working.
