Colorado Joe,

For the hammer on flat anvil set method to work the saw has to be held firmly on the anvil, If you do not you will likely break the tooth.

For the missing, it relatively easy for anyone with a welder to weld replacement teeth on.

Thanks for the extra tips. I was in my garage and kept the lighting pretty minimal. Never thought about heat from the opposite side that I am looking at, nugget of knowledge retained.

I just had to say thanks to all the folks here pitching in their knowledge and experience. I don't know how many time I read and re-read all these threads and I still pick up things I missed. It might just be that when I first read the post I wasn't at a point in my saw filing that the info was relevant. Now it is !!
