crosscutsawyer.com turns 1 year old!

Post by Crosscut Sawyer » February 9th, 2012, 12:06 pm

It was a year ago today, while trying to find information about a Simonds saw I had just acquired, that I decided to make a place on the web for people with questions and knowledge about crosscut saws to converse. The fact is, the internet only has the answers you need if somebody already took the time to post them somewhere...so THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed to this site over the last year! This project has truly exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to what this resource will look like in another year.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to ask how we are doing, so if you have any feedback, comments, questions or concerns, please let me know. My background is in logs, not web logs, so I have been getting a lot of "On the job training" this last year in website administration, but the comments I have received so far have been helpful, so feel free to keep them coming. I will continue to do my best to keep this site set to a high standard.

Thanks again for all of your contributions! :D

Best,
Sam

Thanks for doing this!

As a novice filer, I have learned tons from all the experienced hands out east, out west and up in the northwest. Thanks to you and that gang of sawyers and filers.

Happy birthday crosscutsawyer.com..... and many more!

I've enjoyed the sharing of information. So many ideas, so many different ways of doing things. For me, I have learned so much, in such a short time here.

Thanks again for doing this and keeping the site up and running. This is the very example of a virtual community.
