2019 Firewood

Post by Trailsawyer » April 2nd, 2019, 11:55 am

It's time to get busy cutting firewood again! I recently had to take down a Noble Fir in my back yard, 34" diameter at the stump - only 42 years old!
After cleaning up the "mess", I have a 50' log to use as a test log for my saws - while turning it into firewood. LOTS of big knots to work around...
Yesterday I made a couple cuts with a 6' Simonds 503 that has been hanging on the wall for a couple years.... it's ready to go to work!

Very nice carpet of noodles. Nice saw. I see some red on the end yet too.
