...although, if I came across a 3.5' Simonds 223 (swaybacked p lance), I might move the 390 to an "honored display" position.

I just traded a 48" 223 for a 5.5' Simonds 513. I've seen only a couple of 223's in the past few years. I'll keep my eyes open for you. They're a nice, unusual, perf lance. Really narrow gullets and wide cutters.

The short ones are pretty rare, I just dropped a 4.5' off for sharpening. Thanks for looking, in case of a 3' or 3.5'.
