I can not find a picture on the site now, but member "underbucker" had one that I'm sure he made...... maybe 7 or 8 years ago!
I was handy because you didn't have to unload items packed on top of the box remove a saw.

There were about 30 filers in attendance, from at least 4 states. I hope that another similar event might be held in the future!

Your one man saw looks like the Disston No. 1 Extra Champion in the 1919 catalog?
(the 1919 catalog is the undated one in the list of Vintage Catalogs, Disston)

There is a difference in the steel quality and temper in the western pattern saws as well. That said, almost all of the house/hardware branded saws were made by the major manufacturers. The "1st quality" saws tend to be the best and most uniform steels, and most are also heavier gauge, taper ground ...
