Thank you for your reply and I see now that there are better saws that would be lighter to carry.

So you all believe that I should get a vintage saw. This brings up which one. I am leaning towards the felling type because it is lighter to carry. Which brings up the whole transportation issue. I could go to my local fire department and ask them for some worn out hose and cover the blade with that...
