Hi this is brother ben. I was wondering if saws were ground in a true taper or terised like a hill.or shelfed. When checking the saw plate perpendicular to the saw line I want to hammer it with no dishes or humps.my concern is I may make one side great and the other side will be wanting. Lord willin...

Hi this is brother ben. I was wondering if there were handles for topping trees with crosscut saws? Were they two man handles? I've been using d handles which work well. Hi this is brother ben. I have beentrying to level a 3 ft. crosscut saw. I can get it some what staight but then there is a few seys or teeth and rakers that bow out. I tried using one side as control and leveling it from the spine to the cutting edge,the whole lenghth.it gave a uniform bow the legt...

Thank you Jim. I will increase my set to .02. I confess ive never set a saw to that measurement. These flat ground saws are old curtis one man saws (36 in. and 42 in. )Champion tooth pattern.They have been good saws. We cut mostly hard wood out here in the mid west. Im greatful for your help.
