Saw Etch

Postby NEALogger » July 24th, 2017, 11:19 am

Just wondering how long can one expect a saw etch to be still visible after use? Anything that could help protecting it? Thanks

As long as you never let the saw rust the logo should be visible for the life of the saw and/or for several centuries. Any rusting will degrade the logo more then normal use. I use paste wax on my saws after any use and when in storage to prevent any rusting. Some use oil or grease. Without some rust protection a saw will rust in most any storage location.
