Saw Filing Class, June 25, 2016 near Minneapolis

Calling all sawyers and filers in the Upper Midwest: we had such a great time filing and trying out our newly sharpened saws a couple of years ago that we decided to do it again!

We will hold the class at Mike Siemsen's School of Wood http://schoolofwood.com/node/1. Plans are still in the making but it will be a day long class on a Saturday with plenty of filing and setting and trying out the results. Mike's place is out in the country so there are places to pitch a tent if you need to do that.

Morning coffee and lunch are included.

Hi John,I have marked my calendar and I'm tentatively planning on making to your workshop again. It was a great class last year.
It would be great to have a refresher class as follow up.

Gentleman, if you can make it, this is a great course to get you started on being able to maintain your saw(s). I feel this is becoming a lost art.

It's less than two months until the saw sharpening class, or as Gavin phrases it, a Skill Share. We will go over all the steps in sharpening a crosscut saw but, more importantly, we will be sharpening saws and sawing. The class is scheduled to run from 9-4.

We have a number of D-handle saws and a several two-man saws that could use sharpening if you dont have one to work on. If interested, there should be a couple of saws available for purchase.
