A Book Worth a Look

Postby goodfeller » September 21st, 2016, 5:36 am

I just finished reading Robert Penn's The Man Who Made Things Out of Trees. Penn lives in Wales and decided to harvest a big common ash, a tree he dearly loves, and see how many things he could make out of the wood. The book is both an ode to ash trees and wooden tools, toys, utensils, and craftsmen. Worth a look.

My grandma just recommended that book to me. I really want to read it!
