I have been using Klinke's handbook for years https://www.amazon.com/Rigging-Handbook-5th-Jerry-Klinke/dp/1888724188 Many of the techniques and procedures are universal. Avoid slings on sharp corners, determining sling angles and their reduction factors, blocks and wire rope, careful inspection of all hardware, etc. are all covered. A You Tube or Google image search on "Griphoist" provides pages of examples of what not to do.

I'll be on the watch for the FS guide, thanks for the head's up.
