That's nice bout da UP, I live just a couple miles past da pavement in da woods near Marquette. My first saw I got couple years ago from da tique shop up da road an got a real nice raker gauge, Ross gauge http://www.google.com/patents/US1951773. Just recently got enough tools to get going on saws, mainly a vice was da last important one. If I figure out pictures I'll post a couple for ya.
I may not be old fashion, but I'm trying.

I was a yooper for 3 years about 27 years ago, I worked as a lineman in Newberry, there were a few old sawyers around back then, some tools too, but I wasnt interested at the time. I was trapping in my spare time back then. Heck I think there were still one man saw handles in the hardware stores.
